To be eligible for admission to McGill, you will be required to hold a high school diploma or graduation certificate and should have taken a rigorous academic program which will qualify you for university admission.
- Note that your results from grade 10, 11, and 12 will be considered and should be submitted along with other required documents to the university. However, note that special attention will be paid to results from courses that are most relevant to the indicated program of study.
- You need to have have taken either of the following (unless applying only to Music):
- the ACT or
- the SAT I plus at least two SAT IIs (see individual faculty requirements for SAT II subjects).
Conditional admission decisions can be made on the basis of unofficial transcripts. Although not required, should a school counsellor or principal wish to furnish important additional insight on a particular applicant, this must be submitted in a sealed envelope, signed across the flap by the author.
If you complete the IB Diploma or certificates concurrently with a regular high school program in the U.S., you will normally be considered for admission based on your high school record and subsequently be awarded advanced standing credit based on final IB results.
High school students are not eligible for direct admission to Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Social Work.
