PhD Studentships in Global Burn Trauma at Swansea University in UK 2017

The Swansea University is accepting applications for PhD studentships funded by the National Institute for Health Research. The studentship covers the full cost of UK/EU tuition fees (£4,195), plus a stipend of £14,553.

Swansea University is a UK top 30 institution for research excellence (Research Excellence Framework 2014) and has been named Welsh University of the Year 2017 by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide.

Course Level: Studentships are awarded for pursuing PhD programme.

Study Subject: Studentships are offered in the field of Global Burn Trauma.

Scholarship Award: The studentship covers the full cost of UK/EU tuition fees (£4,195), plus a stipend of £14,553 p.a.

Number of Scholarships: Two PhD studentships are funded by the National Institute for Health Research.

Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following qualifying requirements:

  • Candidates should possess a master’s level degree in the cognate discipline (Burn injuries, Rehabilitation, Public Health, Health Economics).
  • Previous experience working in international development or practical working in low resource environments is desirable.
  • Applications are welcome from International Students on the understanding that the difference between the fees awarded (£4,195) and the international fee rate would be met by the successful candidate.

Nationality: UK/EU students are qualified to apply.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must hold a master’s level degree.

Test Requirement: No

English Language Requirement: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to show evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.
