Latvia has been a member of the European Union since 2004 and is undoubtedly a very wonderful and beautiful place to study with a very affordable cost of living compared to other developed european countries. If you are a domestic or international student and have successfully completed secondary studies in a recognized or licensed high school and are in possession of a valid school leaving certificate then you may also qualify for higher education studies in Latvia. In some cases, you are also requested to take additional qualifying courses and/or admission tests depending on the study program.
International or domestic students applying for postgraduate studies should be in possession of a relevant bachelor’s or equivalent degree diploma.
EU students have to pay tuition fees that range from about 1200 EUR per year to over 9900 per year depending on the study program. Non-EU students have to pay higher tuition fees, from 2500 EUR to over 11300 EUR per year.
