Cheapest Tuition University: Chinese University of Hong Kong

The Chinese University of Hong Kong is a low tuition/affordable university offering high quality education. It has has a QS university ranking of 44. The University came to be after three post-secondary colleges were merged in 1949. Since then, it has grown to become a comprehensive and high impact research institution offering well over 370 undergraduate and postgraduate  courses.

Entry Requirements

All applicants are able to apply using either the online or paper based medium plus a non negotiable fee that must be paid. International students should also meet the basic requirements of high school/post secondary requirements. Of course, they might be some course specific requirements-pls find out from your department.

Breakdown of  cost


  • The tuition fee a year is £10,200.
  • The online application fee is £26 and the paper application fee is £34
  • Hostel accommodation would cost approximately £850, depending on the type of hostel.
  • The above fees plus food, books, transport, and spending money comes to an approximate total of £14,025 per year.



-There are a number of scholarships funded by the Singapore Government that are available to international students.

-The value of these scholarships vary from $5,000 to $14,000 per year.

-Note that all international students are automatically considered for a scholarship once they apply.
