The 2018 US Diversity visa lottery program is currently open for applications!!! The coveted Diversity Visa lottery program is an annual program set up by the US government that allows about 55,000 individuals from countries that are underrepresented in terms of migration to migrate to the United States and qualify for immigrant visas. The DV lottery program can also be called ‘green card lottery’ since winners are determined through a random drawing from among the 10-12 million people who enter each year.
Applicants for the DV lottery program must meet the following requirements;
- Eligible applicants should hail from countries with low rates of immigration to the US.
- Applicants should hold certificate of completion of high school education (comparable to the US high school diploma) or a minimum of two years of training. Note that proof of a secondary school education will be needed if a lottery participant wins a green card, but it will not be needed when submitting the lottery application.
- The applicant must list partner/spouse, if married and all children under 21 years on the DV lotteryapplication. This does not mean that all family members have to migrate to the US. After winning, the principal applicant decides who to take along or not.
