Applications are ongoing for duly qualified international applicants to become 2016 women peacemakers. About four women will be screened and selected to participate in an eight week residency at joan B Kroc Institute for peace and justice found at the university of San Diego, California. Selected women peacemakers would work alongside peace Writers and a film team to produce personal stories through writing, audio recording and video.
Accepted applicants will deliver impactful presentations on their work both at the insitute and in the San Diego community.They will have numerous opportunities to share brilliant ideas and explore several approaches to peacemaking and justice which will increase their ability and capacity for conflict resolution and peacebuilding efforts.
The cost of attending this conference including, cost of airfare, health insurance and stipend will be taken care of by the organizers of the conference.Successful applicants will receive a regular stipend to cover living expenses and incidentals.

–This conference is open only to women who are involved in either official or unofficial peace processes who may be working at grassroote, national or international level.
-Women who have been active in seeking efforts to secure peace through conflict resolution and civil society participation.
-Women leaders with 10 years of experience working in peace resolution or human rights efforts.
