The United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia is happy to invite applications for its 2018-2019 Faculty Scholarship Program. The Scholarship Program supports junior faculty to pursue postgraduate degree studies at the masters or doctoral levels.
Through the Faculty Scholarship Program, the United Board targets to support individuals in strengthening their academic qualifications and enhancing their teaching and to foster academic networks among Asian universities.

The United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia (also known simply as the “United Board”) is an organisation founded in 1922 that works to support Christian education in colleges and universities in Asia.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for undertaking master’s and doctoral programme.
Study Subject: Scholarships are given to study the subjects offered by the university.
Scholarship Award: Selected candidates may receive scholarship awards of up to US$10,000 per year, for a maximum of four years’ support for doctoral studies and up to two years for master’s programs, pending satisfactory progress.
Number of Scholarships: Each institution can nominate up to three candidates for the Faculty Scholarship Program.

Eligibility: United Board Faculty Scholarship candidates should:
- Be currently employed full-time at an eligible college or university in the United Board network (
- Have a record of academic excellence, and show evidence of outstanding potential for professional advancement in teaching;
- Be under 42 years old for applicants to master’s degree programs, and under 40 years old for applicants to doctoral degree programs;
- Be committed to returning to their home institutions after completion of the degree;
- Have at least 2-3 years of teaching experience and service at their home institutions;

English Language Requirement: Applicants must be proficient in English (TOEFL/IELTS/GRE results may be needed by some host institutions, and candidates must have their scores ready by the time of application).
