The Denys Holland free Scholarship was established to provide holistic support to international students from any country of the world, who would like to secure financial funding to study at UCL. All accepted scholars must demonstrate their intention of availing themselves in the activities offered by UCL and the Student Union.

Scholars are given h £9,000 per annum and they may choose to use all or part of the scholarship to cover fees. The remainder is paid to the scholar as a maintenance stipend.
Each scholarship is valid for one year in the first instance, and would be renewed subject to satisfactory academic progress, for up to a period of three years.
Applicants should adhere to the following:
- They must hold an offer of admission to UCL for full-time undergraduate study in any department;
- must be in financial hardship, and able to demonstrate that without the award of a scholarship they may not be unable to study at UCL;
- be aged 25 years or below at the time of commencing studies;
- applicants must demonstrate that they have broad interests and intend to be actively involved in and contribute to the social life of the university.
