2016 Newcastle University Masters Scholarships for Nigerian Students

newThe University of Newcastle is currently rolling out Masters  free Scholarships for Nigerian Students to study at Newcastle University, UK for 2016/2017 academic year

Eligible Courses

  • Newcastle University Law School
  • Newcastle University Business School (NUBS)
  • Faculty of Science, Agriculture and Engineering (SAgE)
  • Faculty of Medical Sciences Faculty (FMS)

Scholarship Info

These scholarships are for high achieving Nigerian students who are applying for entry onto postgraduate Master’s degree programmes, starting in September 2016.  Each scholarship is worth £5,000, payable towards the first year of tuition fees.

Selection Value

These scholarships will be awarded on the basis of best qualified students and content of personal statement – in consultation with Head of International Recruitment and faculty representatives.

Eligibility

You could be eligible to apply for a NU Nigeria Scholarship if:

  • You have been admitted to any postgraduate Master’s degree programme
  • You will be studying at the Newcastle city campus.
  • You are a Nigerian national and have been assessed as International/overseas for fees purposes.
  • You have an Upper Second Class Degree or higher from a recognised Nigerian University and satisfy all other requirements
  • You intend to register to start your studies during the 2016-17 academic year
  • You are a self-funded student and not in receipt of other University or external awards

Number of Scholarships: Three

Scholarship Amount: Each scholarship has a value of £5,000, payable towards the first year of tuition fees.

Duration of Scholarship: Onetime financial to support postgraduate programme

Eligible Countries: Only Nigeria

Deadline: Please note that the closing date for applying  is 30th June 2016
